নয়া ডারউইনবাদের দুইটি অন্যতম ভিত্তি হল- সেন্ট্রাল ডগমা ও ভাইজম্যান বেরিয়ার।
সেন্ট্রাল ডগমা অনুযায়ী, 'তথ্য' dna-rna - protein পথে অগ্রসর হয়.
ভাইজম্যান বেরিয়ার অনুযায়ী, দেহকোষ থেকে জনন কোষে তথ্য যাবে না।
