মুসলিম চিকিৎসক বিজ্ঞানি "আবুল-কাসিম খালফ বিন আব্বাস আয-যাহরাওই আল-আন্দালুসী" এর ব্যাপারে বহু মুসলিম ইতিহাসবিদ লিখেছেন। কেওই তার ব্যাপারে এমন একটা শব্দ লিখেন নি যাদ্বারা উনার মুসলিম হয়া প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ হয়। এমন কোনো প্রমানের অস্তিত্ব নেই যা উনার মুসলিম হয়াকে প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ করে।
উলটো মুসলিম ইতিহাসবিদদের অনেকে উনাকে একজন "দ্বীনদার"(ধর্মভীরু মুসলিম) হিসেবে উল্লেখ্য করেছেন।
উনাকে একজন "দ্বীনদার" হিসেবে উল্লেখ্য করেছেন :

শামসুদ্দিন আয-যাহাবী "তারিখুল ইসলাম"(28/137) এ।
আবুল-কাসিম বিন বাশকাওয়াল "আস-সিলাহ ফি তারিখে আয়িম্মাতিল আন্দালুস"(পৃ/162) এ।
ইবন উমাইরাহ আদ্ব-দ্বাবী "বাগিয়াতুল মুলতামিস"(পৃ/286) এ।
যেহেতু উনার মুসলিম হয়া প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ হয়ার মতো কোনো প্রমান নেই, এবং অনেক ইতিহাসবিদ উনাকে একজন "দ্বীনদার" হিসেবে উল্লেখ্য করেছেন, সুতরাং এটা বলা মোটেও সঠিক হবেনা যে তিনি মুসলিম ছিলেন না। বরং তিনি অবশ্যই একজন মুসলিম ছিল
